  • The Woodwind specialists
  • We are the only Woodwind Specialists in the North.
  • We are the  choice of professional musicians and band teachers.
  • We do repairs for Symphony Professionals, private owners throughout the North , the South and Canada and for most School Districts including ; Prince George, Vanderhoof, Quesnel, Williams Lake, Smithers,100 mile Fort St John, Mackenzie....instruments have been sent to us from as far away as Dawson Creek, Terrace, Prince Rupert  Toronto, Denver and Victoria  etc.
  • We specialize in clarinets, saxophones, flutes, oboes and bassoons.
sax_at_workbench.jpgPlaying an instrument is a great experience, we want that experience continue when you take your instrument in for service.
When you bring your instrument in we take the time to  explain exactly what your instrument needs, what your options are and how much it will cost.
Few other shops are staffed by professional musicians who tour, record and can be heard on radio. The critical ear of a professional musician (along with our technical knowledge) is used to evaluate the instrument. We make Cornamuse, chalumeau and clarinet barrels, a level of machine skills that most shops do not have.

Prices are estimates only. Instruments generally have to be inspected for an exact quote.

    Policy for General Repairs .

simon tallWe always provide a written (if requested) estimate before starting work, unless advised otherwise.

We do not exceed the estimate without authorization.

For School District instruments, in general and unless directed otherwise we make the minimum required repairs needed to make the instrument play in such a way that it will last at least the year and not hinder the progress of the student. Repairs that are merely cosmetic are not done unless requested. Most band directors have found that trusting us to do what is needed is the best way to go. Reconditioning an instrument will restore it to the point where it could be sold as fully playable and includes cosmetic work.

We use only top quality pads and materials for all instruments. For example our standard pads are all double skin, usually better in quality than the factory installed pads.

Basic repair details vary slightly from instrument to instrument. Repairs for pros take precedence, other than that, repairs are done in order with consideration taken as to how urgent the repair is.

If you are going to be in and out of town on certain days we will do our best to accommodate you.
