Quality
Alban Classical  is a meeting place for collaborative artists. We are a registered non profit society  (it is not a charity) . We are an artistic co-op, members help run the organization volunteer their time in administration, decide on projects and occasionally receive a little  income to help continue their work. Depending on your viewpoint this is the next evolution of sustainable art or a throwback to the 18th century. We carefully consider artistic membership.

We have toured most of the North from Hartley Bay BC  to Old Crow in the Yukon doing community concerts and formal concerts.

We produced the first full length classical music CD to come out of the North, have played hundreds of school concerts (over 30 free shows for school district 57) and produce a variety of musical concerts.

We have been playing as volunteers at retirement homes, charity Christmas dinners, schools etc for years(since 1991) and in 2011 we took the step of registering our society.

Musicians and artists teach in the community, some students have gone to become  active performing members.

We play many different styles of music in a variety of instrumental combinations. Produce interdisciplinary artistic events.

Musician Run
The day to day administration of Alban Classical is done 100% by musicians/artists on a volunteer basis. Not only are we trained professionals in our respective crafts but we also run small businesses, have other non profit experience including accounting and administration for non profits, and have 2  certified website designers amongst our members. We have designed touring programs, school shows and pan community events that bring groups together, this has  emerged as our specialty.

Focus
We perform in small groups of 2-5  up to a small orchestra. Our focus is on concerts and repertoire that is relevant to the community, high quality performances and unique ideas.
Because we also compose music we can actively integrate with all the various  groups that make up the north.

To this end we created The Northern tale which we have now presented 28 times across the north as well as a variety of unique school shows.

Music enriches, sensitizes, creates empathy, gives comfort, stimulates the imagination, all things that are positive for our community.

If you are an arts supporter and want to get the most from your support and you want great music presented with care and class you should support us.

If you are a artist looking for a psychopath free environment to work in where it's all about the art we would love to have you work with us

Ethics
We  only use funds for  the project they were donated for. We value and treat all our  artists with the greatest respect because part of our mandate is to ensure we can retain professionals and true amateurs  in our community.
