An Endless Passion for Music
For Discovery, for life and for people
Alban Classical Artists, is a registered non profit society.
Concerts, Adult Bands, New music, School shows, Instruction and Community service.
Founded in 1991 in Prince George BC by Simon Cole and Erica Skowron who both remain as the volunteer driving forces behind AC’s many projects, this includes; grant writing, reports, books, repairs, advertising, websites, traveling and much much more.
Erica and Simon are working pro musicians performing teaching and composing.
We now have both Prince George and Burns Lake locations.
We have a helpful board of Directors from Prince George to Houston BC:
We hire other musicians for specific projects and concerts to perform with us.
Alban Classical’s mandate is to promote classical music and musicians. Refining, enlightening and rewarding all.
We have created original works, original school shows and performed across the North. Recorded Prince Georges first classical CD and represented the North well. Have our original music played on CBC
We present carefully curated concerts.
We have programs for Seniors
With over 30 years of first hand experience working with and delivering programs for seniors( and a staff with over 90 years of combined teaching experience). we know what a powerful force music can be.
Socially it gives seniors (who are often isolated) a group, a purpose and the joy of doing something for others.
Physically it improves cognition, breathing, coordination, heart health, the benefits are myriad.
We have taught hundreds of classes to seniors in care and performed just as many concerts. We have seen non verbal patients in care come back while they sign along, not something one forgets nor does one forget the families that come to visit because they know that while we do the class their loved one comes back.
Generally 2% of our work performing and 10% of our work teaching for AC is paid
